Last October Nintendo of Japan unveiled the official name of Zelda on GameCube. Labled Legend of Zelda: Kaze no Takuto, it was unclear how that name would translate into English.
Many of you said it was the Wind of Takuto. Well here is the official US and PAL name.

I'm not narrow minded, I reckon the actual game'll be great, but the name is just one of the worst I've heard in a long time.

I'm not narrow minded, I reckon the actual game'll be great, but the name is just one of the worst I've heard in a long time.
Cool - I didn't realise Link actaully had a Wind Wand in this game!
It's gotta be something like in Ocarina of Time where you'll wave the wand in a certain way to call-up something like a Tornado, instead of Din's Fire or something.
Imagine the damage a twister could do in-game....!! :D

Why hasn't Tiltawhirl made some reference to fart jokes with the obvious Wind word being the subject yet. I'm dissapointed.

The Wind Walker would sound much better though. Ah well, maybe they'll make a typo in the cover printing
But does the name matter ? It'll be called Zelda by everyone anyway ? How many people call Halo "Halo Combat Evolved" ? No one. The name is pretty unimportant, the game itself is all that matters.
