Yeah those onliners were very hard going... found myself losing permenantly to 'beginners' obviously on the prowl for an easy kill!

Same here Kyz. I had the setting on Hardest, and I beat the Britons in a massive war with the Celts (oh how I rejoiced. Guess where I'm from? :-D).

I played it for ages and ages until I thought I was really good and I could win on hard difficulty. I went online into a game with a few other people and within 10 minutes my villages had been massacred, my crops burnt and my town centre was no more than a pile of rubble. Oh how I cried.
