Doesn't have to be a whole song, can just be a line or two, whatever speaks to you personally.
Don't worry if anyone laughs or sneers at the band you choose, that's their problem, not yours.

I used to like this song when I first got the album, but I just got sick of it when it appeared on MTV (not MTV2) and loads of girls and young kids into pop music started loving it, and they were even dancing to it!!
I really hate people who call Linkin Park a pop band!
Especially when they only back that up with this song, and they find 'One Step Closer' "too loud!!"!

This song practically describes my entire life, apart from the "no friends" part...but then, I can only call 2 people at school proper friends. The rest are just "accquantances". I use any excuse possible to get out of going to any school function. Hardly anyone gives me the time of day, or respects me as a person in any way.

Well, there ya go. Just thought I'd get that little "enchanting" bit of info off my chest.

And I want to acknowledge any mistakes in the lyrics I typed out before some of you take a stab at me.

This is a song that really made me look up and listen to it carefully. If you haven't heard it, you need to hear it. It's just so sad, and it makes me feel all gloomy inside....but I love it.

I was on the verge of putting something in just before I went on holiday. And then my post got pulled by the awesome power of the 3-ing filter.. yes I had used that most heinous of swear words... 3... when I clicked back to remove the offending number my post had vanished and my dad was shouting for me to get a move on. So I left it. I did quote part of your poem in an e-mail to someone special though (quoted rather than passed off as my own, mind)

I especially like the last stanza there. Cohen is a lyrical genius, having been an established poet before making the transition to music. He also has a voice like gravel and makes, what some call, "music to slit your wrists to". I like him though.

Sibs, I did actually make a topic once for the kind of stuff you wrote. I wrote some of my own to start it off but sadly nothing became of it.

I'll find it, pop it up and we and others can make a go of it. Not as a hardcore thing, just as a casual, when you like.

I write when i feel like writing my mind and when I write I would love others to see.
