Something struck me watching Raw tonight...with the return of Hogan there must be more wrestlers on the current WWF roster to have held the WWF title than at any other point...

Austin
HHH
The Rock
Hollywood Hulk Hogan
Kane
The Big Show
Undertaker
Chris Jericho
Kurt Angle

and probably some others who i've somehow managed to forget. But does all this equate to being the greatest WWF roster ever, or is it a sad reflection on the WWF title losing face and being tarnished by too many un-worthy champions? Gents the argument is all yours...

Hmmm......Not sure how to spell that although he was good on the mike. Remember in WCW when Rey Jr. Was going against all the big guys? Bam Bam Bigaloe where he won and he even beat Kevin Nash, good entertainment that was.

I think that the WWF has too many hevieweihts, as I have said many a time they need to invest in cruisaweights! Why buy Billy Kidman and Not Rey Jr? Mad I tell you!

I am a relative newcomer to wrestling, I only rediscovered it when they had Heat on Channel 4 just before KOTR 2000. In this time champions have lasted a matter of months rather than years as they used to. I would have thought long reigns would become boring. Ages ago, before wrestling really took off Burce Sammartino held it for 8 years. Since then title reigns have generally got shorter as people have been able to watch more and more matches with more matches on TV.
As a result of this you are going to get more champions. People like Vince holding the title devalues it a bit but it is still the most important title in wrestling.

(I was going to make a topic like this but I forgot, at least someone did it)

Certainly not. The greatest roster ever was shorter than that. It included HBK!!

Rob Van Dam deserves a title reign. He's a great wrestler and is exciting in the ring and has got some of the most original moves ever seen from a wrestler. And he's certainly got the confidence to be the champ
