I just want to make a point. The matrix was good but only cause its not been done before. The reason of the hype is cause it was original. Like star wars had hype cause it was the first of its kind. And the exorcist isn't as scary to younger generations as all the devil and stuff wasn't spoken about back when it was releases.
If you waited 30 years and watched the matrix then, you'd realise that slow motion dives and back flips and amazing effects is common and it is just another one of those films, if the matrix was truly good then people would love it without the special effects, i dont think this would happen.... but its just an opinion.
Just think hard, without special effects would this actually be good?
