My friend's friend has got A gamecube which his dad brought back from somewhere.

I didn't mean to say gamecube.

Have any of you actually played on a X-Box. I have and the hand controls hurt, too many controls and the gameplay is just like a PS2 with slightly better graphics.

Personaly puor moi, the PS2 is the best by a long shot.

Firstly, it's the only new console out at the moment so it's hard to stay which of the BIG 3 (plus the dreamcast hehehee...) is the better. Now, call be biased (or not, your choice) but in my opinion Sony HAS signed the best games to it's console

JUST LOOK AT THEM NOW

MGS2, GTA3, GT3, the Tekken series, Devil May Cry (which apparently is having a sequel made), WipEout fusion, the Final Fantasy series AND Max Payne. (plus many good looking sequels)

Ok at the moment the X-box is looking really good BUT i think you might as well buy a PC. The tech of it blows you away, so you think WOW this is TWICE as powerful as the PS2 ...GREAT...not. Look at a good PC's specs. Compared to any console the PC MUST be the best....based on that train of thought.And Halo (about the only game which looks worth spending the 300 quid for the actuall console) is coming out on the PC anyway so...what's the fuss?

Well, now it's the turn of the cube 2 take a bashing. Well........first....LOOK AT IT
1/The design sucks
2/it's not as goos as the X-box anyway
3/The games were aimed at three year olds and quite frankly i think they should put a maximum age limit on some of the games

i.e. THIS GAMES SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED BY PEOPLE WITH THE MENTAL AGE OF OVER 15 AS THE LACK OF ANY VIOLENCE IN THIS GAME COULD CAUSE A BRAIN TUMOUR.

4/ermmm.....nintendo have run out of ideas
they've already played their Zelda card (and well played it was on the N64) and now shigeru miemoto or whatever has retired the ZELDA series had been getting worse and worse.
5/it's cheap for a reason
6/oh, purple is SO LAST TUESDAY

...........did i mention the games look crap? =)

The dreamcast HAD (notice the useage of the past tense) 3 games which caught my eye
1/Shenmue
2/Shenmue 2
3/Fantasy Star Online

.........erm but that's it?
The dreamcast had it's time (and failed) and now deseves it's place in the cardboard box in the attic (well, all console go there eventually =/ )

So the order then?

(the best of the best/PS3 when it comes out)
1/PS2
2/X-Box
3/Game Cube
4/Dreamcast
