This was mentioned as a possible £50 million in the Sunday Times. I don't believe a word of it but it would be lovely. I was extremely disappointed when we signed Henry as I wanted Trezeguet at the time. Does anyone know where this story came from?
It would certainly be nice to see Pires, Henry, Trezeguet (and maybe even van Bommel!?) line up for the Arsenal. If the board pull this one off I may even forgive them for the new crest!

And surely he's no better than Shevchenko, who is apparently the latest player off to Madrid for £40m, or van the man, a snip at £19m?

I read that as well, he's a good player but he isn't worth £50million. I told one of my mates who supports arsenal, and he didnt want it to happen.

They've not exactly been big spenders lately, have they? Prefering to bring in quality players at much more reasonable prices.
