How long do people think the N64 has left to live?
With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?
Cooky
[even mgs 2 looks crappy next to zelda] i think the roles are turned around now. cube will rule and psx 2 will be a weak second because of there dificult system
nintendo will also have alot of exlusive software wich i dont think we will see on the psx 2
nintendo will rule the world again
(Can anyone read this? I am real aren't I?...)
Nintendo have raked in millions with Pokomon games of all sorts: red, blue, and yellow version on the gameboy, and Pokomon stadium and snap on the N64. What is stopping them? If they've got anymore ideas (I don't know how long Pokomon can last out for anymore) they will keep bringing out games until the Gamecube comes out about Christmas next year. And I say "Good on them". All these little kids are fascinated by Pokomon, and I know quite a few 8 years olds, with N64's, whose parents will happily go out and spend 40, 50 quid on them to keep them satisfied and quite. When the Gamecube comes out though Nintendo will make Pokomon games for that as well. Children of 7 to 10 these days are young and impressionable, and they will lay their hands on the first thing that comes to them. If its on trading cards, on the TV, and on computer consoles, kids will be happy. And, as kids are kids, they'll go out and buy it. They’re already selling consoles with Pikachu on them; next, they’ll go back to game boy and put a Pikachu on the front of that too. Yes they’re raking the money, and yes, even though I think that Pokomon is getting a touch on the annoying side now, I can see Pokomon failing just before the release of the Gamecube next year.
But, Nintendo didn’t start off with Pokomon did it? NO. They started off with games like Mario, and Zelda, and stuff like that. And Nintendo will end like that too (not saying that they will fail). Nintendo don’t NEED Pokomon, they don’t NEED the consoles with Pikachu on them, or all the Pokomon games on the gameboy and the N64. Pokomon is just a very good money-grabbing fad that Nintendo have pulled off nicely. But we can’t condemn Nintendo now, because it’s all this money from Pokomon that is getting us the Gamecube.
So, in a way, they won’t fail without Pokomon, but we won’t get the Gamecube without Pokomon. If Nintendo don’t get the Gamecube, they’re buggered. The Gamecube is being waited for by loads of young gamers.
N64 won’t fail without Pokomon.
The Gamecube will,
Therefore Nintendo will. Or maybe not…………
