Here a question.

How long do people think the N64 has left to live?

With games like Perfect Dark, Zelda: The Continuing Sage, Turok 3, A Resident Evil game, Top Gear Rally 2, and a bunch of other wicked games this year. How long will the N64 live for? Specially with the PS2 and Dolphin on the horizon how much longer can the N64 last?

A Perfect Dark film? The plot to Perfect Dark is by far one of the worst I have ever had witness to hear! It tries so hard but fails miserably.
(I just HATE aliens in plots, oh so cliche...)

You missed out the major cheat.
Ok make yourself a player and get 250 kills (it won't take all that long) now make 3 copies of that file and load them up (you should have 4 in total now) now activate the cheats screen and you will have all the cheats unlocked without spending ages getting kills.

Super Mario Bros. 3, Zelda: Ocarine, Link to the Past, DX, Mario 64, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong classic...I'm sorry, but there really is too many to choose from for the best...

Well, in Goldeneye, the 'it' probably came from the fact that you were James Bond, and that you were actually in the film. But as technology advances, with realism become the norm, that bit of original 'wow-factor' is no longer there.

Maybe if they released a Perfect Dark film...

But generally, in Rare and Nintendo's games, it was, and still is, the little bits of attention to detail that gave the game its charm.

Things like the Mario portraits in Zelda, the 'butt-shot' in Goldeneye, etc...all brought a smile to my face.

It's funny how all the games you mention as having 'it' all were released way after their original release dates. I think the answer's obvious...

they ran out of fairy dust.
