To the rest of you, the notables, and all the others that should be, monkey_man, ssxpro, YH, Venom, Stryke... you know who you are because you rule, and it's about time you knew it. The reason the forums are becoming increasingly dull to post on, is because NOBODY is inspired by anything anymore, because we're all flattened to the floor by crappy Gamecube vs XBox topics. Don't get fed up and leave... the crap ones will ALWAYS be here, and we have to accept that, but we can shout louder and prouder than they can, and it only takes a few moments of our time to do so.
I thank you for all the stories, I thank you for the tales about your cats, and I thank you so much for what everyone else seems to think is spam, but it's not, it's entertainment, and that's what we should be about.
Sorry for the speech my darlings, but I'm feeling pretty damn good about myself at the moment. I've gone through too much crap to just sit back and watch the morons of the world get their say while everyone else has to sit back and watch.

I don't care what it is... write a story, it doesn't have to be fictional... it could be something that happened to you. Tell us more about yourself, tell us that you've fallen in love, tell us that you saw a cloud that looked like a monkey... WE'RE INTERESTED! Honestly! Half the time it's getting the confidence to trust your feelings... just because everyone else writes about consoles DOESN'T mean you have to!
We are here only when you switch on your computer... We're just people on a forum, we have our lives, and we don't spend them doing nothing, I'm sure! For God's sake, go and entertain someone!

Don't for one single second start to second guess yourself or wonder "Did I do the right thing?" because then you'll spend forever worrying and before you know it, time has gone and you're too late.

Agreed. I don't like having this open mind, I hardly get the urge to argue with anyone any more.
I got voted without asking anyone.
That means that some people (more fool them!) thought that I should be a notable.
And I made it perfectly clear that I would act in no way different, and I don't.
I didn't read a lot of posts before I became gold and lovely and I still don't.
Why?
Let's be honest here, because our very lives depend on honesty at all times:
Some posts aren't worth the time and I want those valuable seconds back I wasted.
But, at the same time, I don't claim to be any better.
I'm well aware of the general state of my own posts, and nobody is quicker to laugh at me than myself.
However, by the same token, there are posters that I absolutely refuse to read - for the simple fact that it's a waste of time and effort.
Not everyone, to be honest there are very few people I avoid, but I can't lie.
Some posters make me wonder if Darwin got it right after all.
Myself included.
Illiterate, pointless posts rehashing the same old tired rubbish about if Nintendo will beat this-console or which console is better and blah blah blah.
That's why I post 99% utter phony news and pointless jokes, because there are better things in life to get heated about than a computer console.
And, whilst we're having the light of honesty shined bright here, what is the average age of the posters here?

I'm 28 and the idea of getting involved in a discussion about something like the benefits of religion with people that aren't old enough to remember when Thatcher came to power is not thrilling to me.
Which is why I post lame jokes and rubbish, because life should not be taken seriously at all.
It's just something there to have fun with. C'mon people, you only get a few years before you die.
Don't waste them caring one little bit about notable elections or who-said-what-to-who or which console is better.
They're all crap, they're all excellent.
Just do what you want for fun and let the next person do what they want.
Stop trying to change someone's mind about something, just get on with your own life and let that person worry about theirs.
So what if X doesn't believe in god, so what if Y doesn't like the Gamecube.
Who cares?
Everyone please, calm down and realise that there are things that matter and things that don't.
Notable elections don't matter, just as pop idols doesn't matter, just as how many polygons the next console will have doesn't matter.
Friends,loved ones, being creative and letting your neighbour do what he wants matters.
