"Money in Wipeout Fusion??"

I've just been across to the wipeout website and taken a look at the forums.

The thing is, people are talking about upgrading their ships with gained money. I've asked how you do this but there doesn't seem to be anyone around. It's pretty dead over there.

So, has anyone else actually used money to upgrade their ship? I'm almost 50% through but I haven't even realised that you get money!!!!

Nope. I havn't played any previous Wipeout games and I love Fusion.

Yeah, the Tigron and Xios don't seem as good as the EG-R. Probably because they only have one thruster and I mch prefer it when they have 2 thrusters cause it makes it much easier to control. (They don't slide around as much.)

Piranha has 4 thrusters doesn't it? Is that the one you have to use in Zone mode?

Anyway, I just unlocked Time Trial as I completed 60% of the game. Done 70% of league and still using EG-R. Only got Piranha to unlock now unless there is a secret ship.

By the way Ginger, have you put any of your scores for Zone mode onto the offocial WF site?

I've got the lead pilot in the EG-R as well. Not bad is he, once you get shields up to full (138) you can really go for it. The next two ships you unlock don't seem as good as they EG-R with the lead pilot do they ? or is it just me.

Yeah, I know you can do that. I don't know if I can do that now though, cause I just unlocked the lead pilot for EG-R and I'm not sure if he will become locked again if I take all my stat points off the second pilot.

I've been using the EG-R, good alround ship but the brakes are crap, nice to have 99 for shields though !
It's well worth spending the time doing the AG League as this is the only place you can get prize money.
I take it everyone realises that you take all your upgrades off a ship and get you money back so you can spend it on upgrades on another ship ?

Lots of swearing still coming outta my room while I play this - Actually found I seem to be better with G-Tech and even better with Auricom !!!! What the hells up with that ??

I don`t know about actually upgrading in arcade mode, but I do know you can use your upgraded ship there.

Actually I think you can upgrade on any mode that has a character select. Obviously Challenge mode just throws you in, but things like Arcade can give you access to the upgrade options too I think.

It's whenever you choose your ship. After clicking on arcade or challenge or whatever. On the ship selection screen just press circle.

(It's not very obvious.)

The look of the ship changes too. My Eg-r or whatever it's called looked brilliant but then I unlocked the lead pilot and the ship went back to the orignal look. I'll have to upgrade again.

I can't wait to unlock Xios!
