Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back is excellent

I got my copy of Jay and Silent Bob yesterday and it reminded me just how great and under rated Kevin Smith is.
If anybody out there knows anyone who hasn't seen a Kevin Smith movie then beat them up and tell them to get a life. It worked on me.

I ordered the Region 1 version of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back today :)

I'm back to post on my own thread i know it may be a bit sad but it's such a good topic that if i were someone else it would excite me! Clerks...watch it again and wallow in it's wonderfulness ,there's so much that i love about that movie!

Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back I haven't seen yet ! At first I thought that Kevin Smith's films were an excuse for swearing...but after reading the bit by Alanis Morissette in the front of the Chasing Dogma Graphic Novel I decided to go back and watch Dogma (the first one I bought) again, and I really liked it. Sure there's loads of swearing in his films but the stories are so unique and really great, if you can see past all the language !

One other thing, after seeing Clerks and reading the graphic novel I often have difficulty keeping a straight face at work now...strange how art imitates life :)

I thank you for inputting but i think the reason he is disliked by the critics isn't because he's arrogant or not easy to get on with,i think it's cause he's not a conformist,and that he hasn't given in to the criticism and changed.And maybe they just don't get it!

OK then. I love all his films, even though they are blatantly self-serving. Mallrats is funniest, followed by Clerks and then Chasing Amy. Dogma was alright and so was JSBSB. I think I over-hyped JSBSB in my hewad and was let down a bit by the too-over-the-top attitude of the whole affair. I can see why he is widely panned by critics and the movie industry in America, as he seems like a difficult person to get along with, and a bit arrogant. Overall, he's a quote machine and provides hours of entertainment for retards like me everywhere.

Please please please someone feel sorry for me and post on this topic!I need a friend!
