I remember the first time i saw screen shots for this game and it's now been eight years in development or something like that. In fact it was that long ago i've now been shaving for a few years and started to go bald from old age. Now i'm not one to actually have a go at the games company's if a game slips a few months behind but eight years!! what the hell is 3D Realms playing at now apparently they've changed the game engine that many times they've had to start re-writing it from scratch.

The funny thing about this game is when a games magazine is doing a review of the up-coming titles and it's always there with the release date 'Forever'. There is no information being leaked from 3D Realms them selves but they still insist in will be done when it's done, so that'll be 2020 then. In all truth i actually think they've given up on the game and don't want to admit that they've failed bringing what would have or could have been a good game to life.

Perhaps Bill Gate wants to get his little filthy hands on Duke Nukem: Forever for the XBOX before it comes out on the PC. Just like he did with Halo and Splinter Cell. Did anyone else hear the rumour that bill gates payed off the developers of Splinter Cell to release the XBOX version before the PC one?

The question is though, why would microsoft buy a games developer who have only really produced one game over the last couple of years? Duke Nukem: Manhatten Project is about all that's come out of the developer in a long time.

This is going to be another game that'll slip throughbthe sands of time. Tis a shame though cos it WAS shaping up to be good, even he screen shots looked sweet. Anyway we've still got Halo to look forward to and Unreal 2 etc

Gamespot still have it down for release on 14/4/2003, but don't have any new information.
Draw your own conclusions but as ever don't hold your breath as a wise man once said.

Yeah that video looked sweet, the levels, the graphics, everything. Though it's the only promotianal material 3DRealms has released over the past 2 years!!!

Everyone see the E3 video of it from about a year ago? Looked AMAZING, with animation and detail never seen before

However, with the release of UT2003, and the upcoming Doom3 etc, they'd better get it out NOW, before it looks dated!

If Duke Nukem Forever is ever going to be released, then it'll have to be this year. All the biggest FPS are out in 2003, Doom 3, Unreal 2, Halo ect... so I think 3Drealms will more than likely want to muscle in on the action.

This is just an assumption though, I also think if the game isn't released next year, then I doubt we'll ever see it released.
