At the studio, the guy who owns it has cable.
And I've discovered "MTV2" and "Kerrang TV" or whatever the hell that's called.

I thought "Fantastic!" and watched it during lunch for the past 4 days.
Except I have only ever seen the following videos:

POD "Jesus is Great!" (something like that)
A "Gimme some skin" (something like that)
Marylin Manson "Tainted Love" (dude looks exactly like PJ Harvey in that video)
Puddle of Mud "Control" ("I love the way you smack my ass")

And that's it.
There might be some other bands around, but that's all I've seen.
Puddle of Mud are cool, not nu-metal crap but old fashioned dirty rock.
"A" have a singer that sounds exactly like Sting, and POD.
Christian Nu-Metal?
Please, that's an oxymoron, "Christian Rock".
And Marylin Manson covering a Soft Cell song? Please, go back to doing Alice Cooper's act and leave me alone.

What's with this rubbish?
So many mid-30s Americans in big shorts shouting about how tough life is (in multi-million $ videos).
HAHAHahahahahahaha

Can anyone say "Bandwagon"?
Oh, and Blink42Sum187GreenStump or whatever that 3-chord "Chugga Chugga Chugga" band is constantly rotating.

*shakes head*
Enjoy being different and "Non conformist" whilst all looking the same and listening to the same music and watching the same music channel.
Wow, how indie of you.

Still, a couple more years and you'll wash that blue out of your hair and get a job.
And then you'll discover blues/jazz/funk/CLUTCH and life will be good.

Nu-Metal is.

On the christian rock thing. Most of the stuff I've heard in the past was trash. Remember Stryper? Scary....

Though Believer were a fantastic thrash band. Ironically, if they hadn't have had the stigma of being christians in a genre that's amusingly perceived as predominantly satanic, I think they would have been a lot bigger.

MTv = Adverts every other song.

MTv2 = No adverts.

I know which I prefer.

That Brand:New programme is quite good sometimes - although the presenter is an annoying muddy funster.

I like rock music, and I'd say I probably watch Kerrang! a couple of times a week for 20 minutes or so, to see what's new. Like all interactive music channels, you seem to end up seeing the same thing over and over.

MTV2 is much better, as they cover more genres, and play live concerts. Though I wouldn't say I have it on for more than 2 or 3 hours a week. It depends what's on.

But it does say something that with rock being my favourite genre, that two channels mostly dedicated to it don't keep my attention for longer. But on the other hand, I still watch them more than any other music channel. And the only reason I watch MTV (or SCMTV - so called music television) is for Jackass. Which shouldn't even be on a music channel in the first place!

Let me name another intellectual band for you - Radiohead. Actually, judging by Amnesiac, that's a bad example. Still though, I like the Clause even if you don't.

Cooper Temple Clause? Got themselves a Moog and think they're cool.

No fanks.

I saw that 'becoming' programme on Mtv2 last night - the one where the general public get to dress up as a band and make a video.

Well last night it was 5 chumps from LA dressed up as Limp Bizkit doing the video for 'My Way'. I laughed heartily in a distressed kinda way.

Back in my day..... bah
