Metal Gear Solid 2:
Wandered around a ship. This game takes itself WAY too seriously at times. It was fun, but I had to skip all of the text that kept popping up, I wasn't interested in reading it!
Anyway, it looked great, and was enjoyable, but seriously needed a dose of humour.
Rez:
Didn't play this for very long at all. Graphicsa aren't important here, the game was fun. Pretty basic to begin with, but as the pace starts to pick up, it's great fun. I loved the way the music/sound was used. Would have liked to play for longer.
Parappa the Rapper 2:
This game made me laugh so hard, I couldn't play it. A simple concept, just pressing the buttons in time. Begins simply, just one button to press, then you have to press 6 or so in time. My only concern would be the longevity of the game. It was fun, and made me laugh. Well worth a rent!
Anyway, I had to pop to my parents yesterday evening, to pick up some eggy-wegs, and ask if they could do a spot of baby sitting for me, so I had another go on some of those demos.
Parappa the Rappa 2 is so funny. I still haven't managed to get through the demo, mainly because I still don't remember where all the buttons are, triangle is top, X bottom, but I get circle (left?) and square (right?) mixed up, so all the noodles come on the screen, and the man say 'getting worse' and me start to laugh, and can't press no more buttons.
Games that make me laugh are good.
Played the demo of Rez again, and finished it. It's fun, but surely it won't last long? I didn't really get what was going on half of the time either, but it's somehow compelling to play. The rumble feature is well used, as is the music. I think it's something that needs building on a little more though, but then again, it was just a demo, apparently of the easiest level. I can see it being great if there are loads of enemies, and it gets really frantic.
I couldn't be bothered to play Metal Gear Solid 2 again.
Or Robot Wars.
Hmmmn. Just MGS then. Well, that confirms that MGS is the worst... and best, of all the demos you mentioned and I`ve played.
