Riddle 1:
He got it in the woods,
and brought it home in his hand
because he couldn't find it.
The more he looked for it,
the more he felt it,
and when he finally found it,
he threw it away.

Riddle 2:
An eye in a blue face,
saw an eye in a green face.
"That eye is like to this eye"
said the first eye,
"but in low place, not in high place."

Riddle 3:
Every creature has seen it,
but to their dying day,
they'll never see it again

Riddle 4:
Look at me from the front,
I am somebody.
But from behind,
I am nobody.

Riddle 5 – some of you may recognise this from the film “Labyrinth”:
You come to two doors. The doorknockers talk to you. One tells the truth and the other always lies. One door leads to death, the other to freedom. You can only ask ONE doorknocker, ONE question. Who do you ask, and what is the question?

Riddle 6:
Stronger than God
More evil than the Devil
the rich need it
the poor have it
and if you eat it you die.

Riddle 7:
The one that makes it sells it.
The one that buys it does not use it.
The one that uses it never sees it.

Riddle 8:
It’s a word
there are 5 letters in it
you add 2 letters to it to make it shorter
what’s the word?

Flux.

Hmmm something about the ice cubes. Because he took so long to drink it, the ice would have melted. Releasing a poison?

Easy one to start off with:

A successful businesswoman invites two of her closest rivals over to her house one evening for a 'friendly drink'. She gets them both a double scotch on the rocks with some peanuts to be washed down with.

One of the men drinks his scotch very quickly, because he is nervous around other people. The man has his suspicions about this woman, and so drinks his scotch slowly.

The man who drank his scotch slowly later collapses, and is pronounced dead at the scene. The man who drank his quickly is unscathed. How did the man die?

Second, a little more ambiguous this time:

A man is pushing his car towards a railway station. What is really happening (ie. who, what, why, when etc.)

You can only answer this by asking questions to which the only answers are yes and no.

Good luck
