But you CAN look anywhere with ease. Not once so far has the camera function had a negative affect on the gameplay - it works superbly well.

Yes but you still need to look around you with ease to get a grip with your surroundings, yes? I would imagine it's pretty integral to the game, understanding your surroundings and all. SO surely the freedom to look anywhere with ease would be an improvement.

In a normal FPS, I'd agree totally - I always get them for PC if available. But you don't need to be as quick or accurate in Splinter Cell as you do in FPS. And if you play it well enough, you'll hardly need to shoot a moving target at all. The sticks work very well in this instance.

Yes but it invloves aiming, doesn't it. You need to look around to see what is going on, which is much easier with a mouse.

Hmm. Splinter Cell isn't an FPS.

Yes I would also choose the Gc version if my comptroller was not up to the job (which many won't be) because I find the PS2's pad is attrocious for FPSs.

Max Payne on the XBOX version I played was a joke compared to the PC one.

Still, I will be getting it for my Cube, as my mouse is rubbish........

As is my graphics card.

It doesn't matter, seeing as the PC version will be (and is) so much better than the console version ever could be.
It's called a mouse, and it makes shooting games better (look at GTA3)
