"Recommended PC games"

Hi. For my 18th birthday last month I was given a brand new PC (a bloody nice surprise, seeing as I had no idea what I was getting), but I'm running a little low on games for it (Solitare and - ugh - Minesweeper don't count). Soon I'll be going online on it (I'm using my brother's PC to type this, before you ask) so I'll obviously want games that are fun to play over the 'net.

At the moment I have:

Grand Theft Auto III
Quake III Arena
Theme Hospital
Zoo Tycoon
Zoo Tycoon - Dinosaur Digs

I'll have to get back to you on the thing's specs (seeing as I'm no expert), but any recommendations you might have would be most appreciated.

You could get yourself some nice cheap budget games, I know that the Sold-Out range have a buy 3 for £10 deal going on now. I was going to go for Severence, Kingpin and Sacrifice, until my damned DVD-ROM decided to pack in and stop bloody working properly.

Get SOF2 Amazing game!

i say alens vs preditor 2 as it is a free gift now so you can get it that way or you can by it for under a tenner and it is good

Whoops, I forgot about Max Payne, it's still one of my all time favourite action games. Roll on Max Payne 2.

Get Baldur's Gate 2,it's only £20 and XWA, it's playable on the zone (you need to have a fairly low lag connection though)
