"Anyone remember Rainbird??"

I was digging thorugh soem old games the other day and found a few of my favourite games of all time, one of which is Starglider a game created by a company called Rainbird and published by its sister company Firebird, both company's later become part of Electronic arts, so i just wondered if anyoen else on here knows of the company or of any of their superb games? Let me know

I don't want an OBE, so I turned mine down.

He has build up a very successful software development company from scratch which makes tons of valuable exports for the country

Jeremy San, creator of Starglider, has just been awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honour List. I think his company, Argonaut Software, did Harry Potter.

Rainbird Software was sold to Microprose, but I'm not sure if Microprose was later bought by Electronic Arts.

Starglider and The Pawn were our top two launch titles (at Rainbird Software way back) and we also did the conversions of Elite on the Firebird label.
