Sorry for doing a post like this but after a my Geography GCSE Mock Exam I returned home to find copy of Resident Evil on the mat :) The Graphics are the best I have ever seen and that is coming from someone who owns an Xbox and Splinter Cell amongst other great looking games. The audio is good in Pro Logic 2 but as of yet it hasn't made me jump. To be honest I havent' played it that much yet because I am saving it for tonight so that I can go through it and enjoy (if there is such a thing with a horror game) Resident Evil! Control Scheme A isn't very good and that is coming from someone who has completed EVERY Resident Evil to date including a Japanese very of Gun Survivor on the PSONE. In the end I settled for Control Scheme 3 as I like the way you can hold down R to walk and run depeneding on how much pressure.

I picked up 1 defensive weapon on the balcony where the Zombie walks around but I was unaware that you can only use it once and then you have to search for another so I used it and stabbed a Zombie in the head :) I still can't get over the graphics and how breath taking they are. I like the way Chris walks with the gun (yet to see the girls handling), finally someone (excluding UBI SOFT with Splinter Cell) has gotten proper movements with the Gun and made them realistic. I like the way that the characters actually walk on the stairs instead of gliding up and down them (this was my biggest complaint with Splinter Cell)!

The opening FMV was excellent and it really got me anticpating what had happened to the other guy in the group. However 5 minutes later I found out ;)! After completing Code Veronica I remember how Chris had a very big fight with Albert Wesker at the end in a FMV movie which was worth completing the game alone to see. However even though I remember veighgly them falling out I don't exactly remember so I am in for a treat when I get to the end of the GameCube version :) I can see it turning out to be one of my all time favouritie games and possibly the best in the series yet (although Code Veronica is an excellent game).

So, one of the major reasons for buying a Cube has arrived and here I am telling you guys what I think :) Great game and so far worth the purchase alone, things can only get better!

*Breaks into chorus of things can only get better*

The fist is actually a load of dogs outside, that bit seems to be random each time you play it. Sometimes like happened to you the window just cracks, sometime they come through first time. A good idea is to avoid going back through that corridor the opposite way you came, beleive me, you don't wanna be doing that.

Oh and when you find the balcony, have a good few shotgun rounds ready and you'll probably wanna save ya game before you use the whistle.

Oh and burn as many Zombies as you can with the kerosene after you've killed them, beleive me it comes in handy later on.

Cheers Whitestripes and Tilta! I am going to do the Wood and fire trick because it could determine which ending I get if I manage to complete all of the tasks :) Some may call Chris' 2 less items part of the game and I am one of them, it just wouldn't be Resident Evil without all of the trecking back and forth and that is what I like about them.

Its Ok Gerrid we had a big argument in Prime a while back which was quite fun so I don't mind contesting it, after all a game as good as Shenmue is worth contesting for ;)

WS, I found the whilstle and read the letter about the dog on the West Balcony but as of yet I haven't found the West balcony. After completing all of the Resident Evil's to date I haven't used the map above 10 times including every game and this is where my down fall is. I keep forgetting that the map may help and I just proceed onwards like it doesn't matter. Anyway, in about 1 hour I am going to proceed back to it for a long night of puzzle solving and Zombie tourching!

p.s, I was walking along a corridor and the window was hit by a fist or something and I had my speakers on loud and I jumped really far. I only say this to make those who are scared feel a bit better as they aren't the only ones that think that it is the scariest game ever made!

There is a note or letter somewhere that should give you a big hint as to what to do with the dog whistle.

As for the wooden board, it isn't totally useless, one of the rooms on the 2nd floor has a fireplace, light it and press the wooden board against the map outline thing above it, it will burn the 2nd floor map onto the board for you.

If only it were that simple. No, you see, my problem is much more sinister.
The game is just plain rubbish. I'm not rubbish at it. I plowed through to that bit with the sharks until I couldn't take it any more, and I haven't played it since.

Nope, that's part of the fun of doing it with Chris. You get 2 less inventory slots than with Jill so you really need to plan ahead unless you have free acess to the Chests....which is highly unlikely with all the Zombies and Crimson heads.

Psssst quick tip, the wooden board is totally useless.

I'd tell you what to do but that would spoil the fun. Make sure you read everything that you can pick up.

LOL! You really won't let that rest will you?

Anyway, does anyone know if there is a bump pack for Chris that can extened the number of itmes he can carry? There was one for Jill in Code Veronica and I am at a point where I need to carry more than what the standard inverntory can offer.

I have also tourched a few Zombies using the Kerosine which was smart but at the moment I am stuck with a dog whistle, wooden board and an Emblem! I am just looking around for what to do next now...
