With all this 'Nintendo will buy loads of manufacturers and get all the good games and rule'.

This is very unlikely, due to a) The large fan base surrounding the PS2 and the, uh, very large fanbase that the Xbox has..
b) There are laws regarding market dominance. it happened to Microsoft, and if Nintendo try and buy too many developers they will be stopped.

They're first parties, actually.

True, but just one or two buyouts wont make them industry leaders, Sony makes sure of that. And Capcom would looks so juicy as a 2nd party...

No, I'm pretty sure they're second parties. First parties are branches of Nintendo like HAL, who made Super Smash Bros.

Would anyone care to back me up?

Hmm, could be tricky seeing as Devil May Cry is one of their strongest projects, and Sony at the moment have it under a sort of 'contract'.

There's no contract, just some sort of 'deal'. Anyway, Rare managed to cut ties with Nintendo.
