Will it ever be released? There are some Region 1 titles that I want to purchase for my Xbox yet the release date just keeps slipping everytime I look! How hard can it be? The PS2 had one released within 2 months of its launch and I am sure that Microsoft and 3rd party developers releasing their own can hurry it along so that I can order titles before they are released over here. Does anyone have any additional information about Region X and when it will be released? Any version would be Okay as I will be glad when someone gets a move on and releases one before I start to develop my own Region X ;)

I like that comment...

Not saying that you are a fanboy, it just sounds funny!

"I'm not a stupid fanboy!"

Sorry, I'll leave you two alone to argue now...

I am quite proud of the achievement myself but only because I aren't going to follow your example and start a new argument over somethig petty.

I aren't a stupid fanboy, but if you do figure out that I am please tell me for which console! I will pass on scrolling through the SR database trying to prove a point because for me life will never get that sad ;)

Yes and worth every penny! I actually paid £289 for mine and then Microsoft did the 2 games and 1 extra official controller offer so I sent off for them and because they didn't arrive within the aloted time I complained and got a the DVD playback kit for free. I know you are not very good with figures but wouldn't you say that £289 was a reasonable pirce for all that? Not only that but the same week I got my Xbox I won a GAD so I chose Max Payne which is something that wouldn't be of any use with a foreign console. Not bad for £289 wouldn't you say?

Yes but the point I was trying to make was I can get a 2nd hand Cube that works just as well and then a top end DVD player for the same price. Just out of interest why didn't you get a 2nd hand Q-Cube?

You sound like a soldier at war, "I say again man down, MAN DOWN"! Anyway, yes the Q-Cube DVD player will be of reasonable quality but Nintendo and Panasonic would be losing money if you take away the cost of a normal GameCube and then work out how much the DVD player inside the Q-Cube is actually worth. Not only that but they have to make a BIG profit on it as it is kind of limited edition if you understand what I am saying so you are bound to pay more. I would say the DVD player was worth around... £120 taking the addition of the GameCube with it. So for that I could get a good Multi-Region DVD player and a few DVD's ;)

I think you will find that I said... and I qoute:

"The DVD quality on the Xbox is actually better than that on the Q Cube as far as I am aware and from what the reviews I have read have suggested"

I also said... And I qoute:

"I don't pretend that I do know anything about the Q-Cube but from what I have read the Xbox is better, I haven't tried and tested I have just read so I never said it was right or wrong."

DidI ever say that it was definitley better or did I say it was what I have read and it is what I have read :)

I was going on reviews as many people do, after all I can only go by what other people have told me or what I have heard when I haven't experienced it. Unless of course you have a different method?!

You mean like the Shenmue 2 argument that you just left half way through when other people backed me up and agreed with what I was saying.

OR...

The Audio thread in the Nintendo forum where users said that myself and Edbear were the only ones making any sense and that you didn't know what you were talking about?!

I could give you plenty of other examples but I am too tired and I am in danger of turning into your twin brother...

How you've managed to avoid the original subject of debate twice now is quite beyond me.

Secondly, go ahead, you'll be hard pressed to find anything, unlike most people seem to have been (or still are..) stupid fanboys when they first joined (even Edgy was) I have never acted in that way or written such types of rubbish.

Thirdly, if that's all it does, it's a damn sight more than the XBox no? £300 when it was first released, plus an additional £30 just for normal, simple DVD playback.

Fourthly, that is not a valid argument. I could have bought a Q second hand for half price couldn't I?

And once again, having no expirence with a Q at all, you seem to be display your 'facts' that it can't possibly be as good as a £140 DVD player. And I will say once again, the Q WAS a standalone, high end DVD player, Nintendo authorised the use of GC parts and Panasonic added those to the DVD player (and made it cube shaped, obviously).

Slagging you off? Well yes, but it's mainly justified (if it can ever be justified that is..). I think it's fair to call you an idiot when you say;

"The XBox DVd player is much better than the Q, although I've never seen a Q or had any expirence with it or it's DVD player at all"

Where as you insult just because you're ranting and raging, and angry because you can't string together a decent argument to combat the rather long post I made yesterday.

Have a good evening ;-)

The Q-Cube DVD player is NOT worth £200 and I picked up my GameCube for £90 second hand and it has a warranty and it works fine. I purchased an advanced RGB scart for it and a few wires and connections so that I can hook it up to my AMP. In total it cost me £140 for a GameCube, Memory Card, Resident Evil, Rouge Leader 2, Advanced Scart cable and the connections required to hook it up to my AMP and that still leaves £140 to buy a multi region DVD player which would be better than the DVD player in the Q-Cube! All it does is allow you to play a COUPLE of games that will never be released here and import games a couple of months before they are released. When the Freeloader CD is released I will purchase that for £14.99 to get these beloved 2 good games a year that won't be released over here.

You hypocrit, slagging you off? That is all you do to my posts and then you turned round and call me for doing it to you?!

It was one of the first 10 posts I ever did and you remember it? I must mean more to you than what I originally thought, are you stalking my posts?!

Am I am fanboy now? Now I own an Xbox, GameCube, Dreamcast and PSONE?! If I was sad enough then I would scroll back to a post that you did when you had Just arrived but I have better things to do with my time so instead of scrolling back through the SR database looking for my posts try and sort out the complex you have with communicating normally with people, once you have I will begin discussing things with you again.

Yes Belldandy, that would possibly be true, if most of it was factually correct.

As it happens, I was comapring the Q's raw price as it would be in in our currency, had it ever been released here.

I bought my Q, for £280.

Now that comes as all reigon, high quality ect. with knobs on, and it plays Jap and US games.

That's it. Obviously it costs more because I'm importing it, but you can't add that to the Q's value, it doesn't make the Q itself worth £400.

As it happens, it cost me £350 all together, including Animal Crossing and shipping.

Futhermore, you don't need a stepdown converter, Japanese electronics will work without modification in the UK, the only thing you might need is a plug convertor, which costs about £3. And finally, you do actually get a stepdown transformer anyway, which is inlcuded in the £280 price.

Anyway, my point was, if it was released in the UK, at say, £280. You could buy a decent £200 DVD player and a GC, or a Q for £280, with a DVD player just as good and a console to boot.

Finally *rolls eyes* I only said that to provide some sort of comparison for just how good a DVD player it actually is, I wasn't really making any cost comparisons or such.

Oh, good reply, just what I was expecting. You avoid replying to the main arguments raised and then sl*g me off a bit, simply wonderful.

It's quite inspiring.

And that line, I was taking the pi*s of one of your wonderful garbe Super Fanboy posts, which you ended as;

"AND DA XBOX LAYS THE SMACK DOWN ON ALL YOU NINTY JABRONIES"

But you seem to have forgotton that..convientantly...

Can't sustain an argument? This is coming from the person who used WWF speech along the lines of "ITS BECAUSEE DA GAMECUBE LAYS THE SMACK DOWN ON ALL YOU XBOX JABRONIS". You start arguments and insult people and then say that others can't sustain your comments?! You then said that I stray away, to what may I ask? You seem to have strayed away from all those comments I made about you wanting to argue with me ALL the time and started talking about the Q-Cube?!

I fear you miss a major point though Whitestripes.

Firstly there are no official Q Cubes for sale in this country, only imports. This means that the only ones you can get are going ot be quite expensive when you look at what you are getting, this site has them at £409;

http://www.kingcube.co.uk/

So, for £429 you are getting a Nintendo Gamecube, and a supposedly high quality all region DVD player yes ? Right, now you need the Q Cube chipped to do Pal games, oh and better get a stepdown transformer as well...so in effect you're lookig at £450 minimum. £450 for a DVD player and a Gamecube which can do all games, and has no warranty whatsoever ? Hmmm

How about I take my £450 odd down the high street, buy a GC for £129.99, order Freeloader from play.com for £14.99 and see what kind of multiregion player I can get for the remaining £305 eh ? I suspect I'll be able to get one that far exceeds the quality of the Gamecube, and all my purchases still have a years warranty that is valid, and two years in the case of the GC.

Yup, the Q Cube rocks does it not ?
