So do I. Delightful fellow.
The Q Cube is a good machine, but overpriced on import. Now, if the Q had been the Gamecube then that'd change things. As it is I wouldn't fork out money for a machine with no warranty, expecially when the GC has a two year one !

Oh dear, you want to shoot the guy for telling people to like games ? Line up most of the Ninty forum regulars then.....

I am not a stupid fanboy you mean. Aren't is short for "are not", I are not a stupid fanbouy sounds...stupid....

Okay, firsly anyone who paid this price was, upon the price drop, allowed to claim two free £39.99 - £44.99 RRP games, plus an official joypad, free of charge from Microsoft, meaning that the early adopters were rewarded with about £100 free gear.
Secondly, when anyone buys a console in this country, they get at least a years guarantee, so if the console has a fauly it can be sorted, free of charge. Nintendo even guarantee the GC for two years. What has your beloved Q Cube got ? Zip...anythign goes wrong and you're paying for that to be fixed ! and, whilst we're on about buying add ons for simple things....to save games on the GC you need to pay £14.99, or £24.99 in the case of Mem 251, to simply save games. No need for that on Xbox my friend. Plus, to simply play online games, you are going to need a network adapter, estimated at £39.99 RRP, which is built into the Xbox...so for the current price of £159.99, with the games, and just £19.99 for the DVD add on, it is somewhat of a bargain.

Oh dear, "incompetence" ? Yes, it is very incompetent to lower your consoles price to compete isn't it ? How abuot Nintendo's continued disinterest in the phantom Super Monkey Ball and Rogue Leader lock ups on the GC ? Has Nintendo even tried to sort this out ? Nope...

You can only buy it officially on one small continent on the planet...sounds somewhat limited to me....

My god, this kind of statement has escaped from the Life forum I fear....I would point out that the Qcube does not give RGB playback though, unlike the Xbox, and that the Qcube's playback would have to be somewhat amazing to justify spending that amount of money on a no guarantee import machine... incidentally I've seen several review who hint that the Qcube is almost certainly going to be the only GC based machine able to do copied GC games. This is because it accepts the DVD format as well as the optical discs, so if you transfer the games onto DVD format....voila !

Ah yes, but it's sort of traditional the not count it until evening until the 6 0 clock evening news starts on BBC.
~~Belldandy~~
the Q Cube is pants, it looks nasty. and if it's so so good why didn't they make the GC that way in the firstplace?
also £20 for region x is a damn site cheaper plus as he has the advance lead he'll get RGB (providing his telly can do it which i guess it does) and if he has an optical cable and a DD 5.1 set up he'll also get good sound.
the x box DVD player is ment to be better than the PS2 and the Q Cube which doesn't support RGB. and anyway Panasonic make pants DVD players.
i have a seperate DVD player made by Pioneer (one of the best) as i feel a proper dedicated player is better than any console.
now whitestripes do us all a fave, go back to your hole known as the GC forum with all your fan boys where you can keep all your comments about PS2 and the x box amongst yourselfs as really we don't give a damn.

Interesting, considering you start 90% of all these arguments. Like I've already said, it only takes one person to say "I don't really want any XBox games" for you to post your corporate statement issueing the reasons why they do want them really.

The Xbox, and interestingly, you seem to have forgotten this is the first time I have taken this seriously. If you'll notice near the start of this argument I mentioned that I have just been mucking around and winding you up for a laugh, and you are the one who bursts a blood vessel and issues your statement :)

Winning a GAD is not a valid argument, I have claimed 3 free games for my GC, but strangely that doesn't get deducted from it's price. It doesn't mean I can go around saying that in reality I only payed £40 for the GG does it?
And no, I don't think it's a reasonable price given that I don't want any of the games on it, it's a personnal thing, you see? Getting some free stuff because of Microsoft's incompetance also cannot be entered into this argument, we are talking about it's RRP and what you got with it. What if I ordered my GC from GAME and they screwed up massivley and gave me some free stuff, does that mean you can get a GC for £130 with 2 extra controllers and a game for free? No, it means (in a way) I got lucky.

Because I prefer to my things new, is that so strange?

No, the cost is minimal. You take a DVD player, you put the GC's graphics card and processor in it, and give it the special lens for reading the 8cm discs, thats it, not very expensive at all. Why? Because the DVD player already has the casing, it already has the power supply, it already has all the wires and circuits inside to make it all work, all it needed to have done was for it to be adapted to play a different media.
And no, it isn't a limited edition at all, it's just only on sale in Japan.

Well please, show me these reviews. I expect some links to comparitive reviews sharpish, and not after you've had a few hours to actually find some.
We both know you want the Xbox DVD player to be better, and we both know you meant it as a fact, however as there is no actual evidence, I will retract that one statement, something you are too immature to do whenever you are wrong I've noticed.

No it got boring, and also, it's an opinion argument, and opinions cannot be argued, therefore it was pointless to continue, and there are better things I could be doing.

err..no, you and Edbear (or in other words, 3 times banned Alcofrolic) were saying that you buy films you don't like, just because it has nice audio effects. I merely pointed out that it seems incredibly stupid to buy a film you don't want to watch, just because you can listen to it in surround sound. Unfortunaly neither of you have managed to grasp the concept of what I am saying, instead you prattle on about how I don't understand surround sound, despite having been using it for 6 months or so longer than you.

Examples of what? Your losing of arguments? Your biased posts? your ill-informed and factually incorrect attempts at putting other consoles down?

Oh dear, perhaps you don't understand how to interpret information around you. Any person could have seen I posted this at 5:50pm, which in winter most people would consider evening time.
Run along now.
