I have an idea for the GameCube's official controller that could make it even better (if that's possible??)! And maybe even better to use than the N64's pad (could I do that??)!!

I have not used, or even been within 100 feet of a GameCube controller, and all the info. I have on it has come from magazines and pictures. I have noticed that it's design is quite similar to that of N64's, but with a different layout. The 'Z-trigger button', famous for it's effective use for FPS's, also appears on the Cube's pad's design. But for some reason it has been strangely placed ontop of the controller, just infront of the 'R-shoulder button'? Surely it'd be much easier to have it back behind the pad, like the N64's, so you could also use 'R' for aiming???

Now this is where my idea comes in! Yes, I strongly feel that the Z-button should be on the back of the pad, ready for your middle finger. The controller's shape has changes, as has just 2 areas to hold instead of the trident shaped N64 pad. So what about TWO 'Z-trigger buttons' on the back??? This way you could use the Z button in better comfort if you're right or left-handed, and if you're character had 2 guns, you could use one button for each gun!!

Imaigine playing 'The Matrix' in the GS building!! Just like Neo, you could shoot and reload from either gun, at your own will! What do you think of this 'triggering' idea???

I also think that the Cube's controller design looks a lot like the PS2's pad, except for how Nintendo's 2 sticks actually work well, where-as Nintendo's don't. And I also think that to have 2 Z-buttons on the back would mean Nintendo would have to change the design of the pad, more like the N64's trident, but with 2 and not 3.

But there's still hope, we haven't seen any un-official pads yet have we!! Maybe they're working on this right now??

It would be kool, but cos of where the control stick and other buttons are placed, from what I remember of the controller, the 2 (or even 1 ) z button(s)would be hard to reach!
