My Xbox has started the process of not recognising discs now. It happened to a couple of my games and I had to eventually turn the machine upside down then back again to get it working.

This is not good news. I will have to sort it out tomorrow. I've heard that this has happened to quite a few people already and gets worse over time.

Solution:

Put the disc in the tray.
Close the tray.
Hit the reset button.

The game should load immediately :)

I've got a similar problem with my PS2 but instead of not recognizing discs they seem to take ages to load. I used to turn it on and put a game in and it would load up instantly now it sometimes takes up two minutes. even in browser mode I have to wait ages for the disc icon to appear. I noticed this because my mates console is functioning fine and his loads up almost instantly. I think my games are affected too because LMA 2003 seems to take ages to load on my console but no-one elses.

Sorry for infringing on your Xbox topic.
