Ok, here's how I did it:
Escape the mansion in a Cartel cruiser, take a left at the gate (cut scene telling you to follow helicopter), ignore helicopter (you know where its going) and continue round corner and up hill, take another left and you should be driving behind all the mansions. Duck into the drive way of the first mansion and pick the M16 up off the steps, return to road and continue to the bottom, where you take another left, then a right.
You should be approaching the entrance to the damn.
If you drive anything like me, your cartle cruiser will be a bit busted by now. Ram it into the two others blocking the entrance and let it get shot at till it starts flaming. Leap out and do a runner, the following explosion should take out all the cars and both the guys.
Thieve there weapons and continue down the long driveway. Grab the sniper rifle on the right then head a bit further on. Stop nd take out the three closest guys with the sniper rifle. Dash up and grab the 2 M16s the closest two have left behind.
Then take out the two guys in the two towers with the sniper rifle.
There'll be a guy waitng near the bottom of the first tower, on the right as you look toward the heli pad. Rifle him to death, then steal his gun.
From here you should be able to see a fair distance. Take out all the guys you can see with very short bursts from you m16. Then proceed to the point were the cut scene kicks in (on foot)!
After the cut scene a guy comes for you in army thingy. M16 that sucker to bits! Then proceed towards the steps. Make sure you take out any guys you can see. You should be able to see on at on the edge of the launch pad, take him out from a distance, then go for the stairs.
There should only be two guys with Maria, take care of them with the rifle as soon as you get to the top of the stairs.
There may be another guy to you left as you approach Maria, get rid of him too!
Then head down the launch pad toward the rocket launcher!
The rest is up to you!

Take it real slow like! (but not too slow, there's a time limit you know)
Snipe and M16 everyone from a distance, then when climbing the steps to the launch pad, select your rifle (that you can collect from all the cartel you just killed) then take out the two guys standing either side of her, real quich but from a distance!
Be careful to aim at the guys, first time I got up there I shot her by mistake :-)
