I don't know if this has been raised by any other users but I recently picked up a copy of the latest Official Playstation 2 Magazine - exstatic at the new MGS2 demo. However, to my horror I found it to be the same that accompanied Z.O.E almost a year ago!
What is so great about giving a demo that 90% of the gaming population has already played and then spout it off to make people buy your magazine?!
This really annoyed me as I know that other people in the Sony forum - Kid Rock especially - where looking forward to playing a new level a few months before release. MGS2 got 10/10 - 10 for everything.
And has anyone got the new issue of PSM2?

Now I will get abuse, but the gameplay does not grab me. I have played both demos and while the graphics and little touches are great they do not overcome the shortcomings for me personally, I am sure there will be many who will enjoy this game.
I may hire out the game to see if the full version is better, but I will not be preordering it. I know we have gone over the subject of reviews before and one man's meat is another man's poison, but the question of some of the poor reviews that game has received does influence my decision.
MGS2 has been the game on everyone's lips for the last 18 months and I do not believe that any game can live up to the hype and expectations that this one is expected the deliver. That is not to say that the game will not be good and sell by the bucket loads, but for me it just does not cut it.

Is it a local cinema for local people ?
Maybe, but in all the local shops near me they have it. I also live in a small town where everything comes out last. The cinema has only one screen and shows movies that are months old.
I have just looked at the Jan 2002 (16) issue and it wont be out in the shops until Friday 25th January ... so that is why some people who have been looking can't seem to find it.
I think i'll pick up my copy tommorow. I could have got it today but some how didnt bother. I think I better play the Wipeout Fusion demo to see if it is a game I want to buy. At least it will give me a chance to get off the computer for an hour.
