So tell me...

When do you think GameCube will be launched? The day is important... after all, we've got to have enough units... there is competition from the X-Box and MGS2...

So, after thinkning about it, give me a date, and your reason why!

Another thing... What games do you think will be launched, at launch? The US launch games, save for all that American Football crap would be my bet... maybe PIKMIN and Melee, although they might come a week or two after!

So... what do you reckon?

April 5th? March 22nd? March 29th?

It might be a low key launch?

it should be same time as Xbox, otherwise people won't be arsed to wait for gamecube.

Meh... Herdy Gerdy sucks... it looks too plain, and boring, and N64-ish, and stupid.

The concept is stupid.

So there....

Maybe if it was on GameCube it'd be a different story.

The GC launch games are as good as the Xbox selection, just not as mainstream so most wouldn't think so (and Mr Casual Mainstreamer certainly won't).

Rogue Leader and Wave Race are looking great in a mainstream sort of way.

The launch...

Not great. This time around Nintendo really needed a push- the GC has automatically got support from family gamers, and from hardcore Ninty fans, but one thing Nintendo are aiming to do is get beyond this market... and they have no killer apps at launch.

The said, the games are quirky, original and fun. Certainly an above average launch, but not excellent. I had expected Ninty to push second party companies to get their games out (Metroid, Starfox, Smash Bros), and make sure they had one absolute killer title for themselves...

As for the launch date...

It won't be pushed forwards.

Nintendo denied the 300,000 rumour.

I think that Nintendo will announce April on Monday and then change it to the 1st of March at Millia! :-D

Anyway, I predict an early March Launch with demand easily exceding the low amount of Gamecubes shipping in for Launch.

How many Gamecubes are coming into Europe? I've heard figures as low as 300,000 for the WHOLE of Europe.
