Me and a mate were chatting about the fact that there arent enough hours in the day, and come up with a plan.

We get loads of really big rockets, stick them all on really high pylons pointing in the opposite direction to the earths rotation and slow it down.

Would it work?

Would you want it to?

Would you like a crisp?

We'd need to slow the Earth's orbit down too in order to keep in with the 365.25 day year.
That would be good because you'd stay younger for longer and it would stop the crisis of more people being on pension than actually working (you see people who are sixty in the "new" year will be 90 in current year count.).

Also, our years will be longer, so all these disasters that are set to happen in a billion years won't happen for a billion "longer" years, and we'll have more time to prepare the 2100's for the space age!
