Special Reserve are a very good and reliable company but i would love to know why they are ripping off with over priced games.
Argos are doing ALL PS2 games for £29.99 or less (and before anyone says they only have a dozen or so titles- i am referring to their online shop). Simplygames have started doing all top 10 titles for £29.99 as have others.
So why are SR still asking £34.99 or more? Can anyone answer this.
They even want £35.99 for BMX XXX yet i got it in GAME in St. Helens for £17.99, priced £19.99 but had 10%off sale on.
I am a member of SR because my son is mad on games but i don't shop with them very often because i find them so expensive compared to everyone else, i would love to know why they charge so much and how they get away with it, are people just stupid or got so much money they don't care?

I think this is why the RRP/MRP thing was abolished, but on the subject I bought Riding Spirits from Game (shop not internet) at lunch time, brand new £29.98 minus 10% = £8 cheaper than SR.

Simple answer, it's your money, spend it where you wish. No one is forcing you to buy from SR.

I'd hardly say we're ripping people off by offering on average, about £10 off the high street price.

Market forces , competition etc.

Internet traders have been the best place to buy games from for a long time and SR were one of the cheaper alternatives. They are not as competitive now as they used to be but they do still do some good deals and will be cheapest on certain games.

It's just a matter of looking around and finding the game you want at the best price at the time - sometimes it will be SR sometimes it will be some other online retailer and sometimes it might be someone like Argos.

Bit of a dumb topic really....
