A lot of you are plainly being harsh to topscore, and other newbies too.
Why? They are new, and don't know how this place works. They might make a bit of a fool of themselves, but they don't need you lot being nasty to them.
Are you comfortable with saying that you did no stupid posts whatsoever when you got here the first time?

Most, if not all, of the newbies have relevant topical things to say. However, I don't like Top Score and I never will. So I'll continue to insult and degrade him as and when necessary.

Seriously though, some Newbies are just asking for contempt - in fact, some of them actually desire it.
Totally agree with this topic.
I tried to do something about it around this time last year. I made an effort to explain to the newbies why the regulars were all idiots, and how not to get shouted at (or 'poked'). I made a few subtle posts in a newbie account mocking the attitude of the regulars, but most of the fools didn't twig to that. I made a couple more blatant criticisms, but nothing changed. I eventually gave up trying to change the way things were going.
I very nearly didn't bother coming back here after the summer holidays...
