Leave the newbies alone.

A lot of you are plainly being harsh to topscore, and other newbies too.

Why? They are new, and don't know how this place works. They might make a bit of a fool of themselves, but they don't need you lot being nasty to them.

Are you comfortable with saying that you did no stupid posts whatsoever when you got here the first time?

From response, I retract the topscore quote from my original post, as i diddn't know me was a banned ex-regular.

But i still stand by my post. Newbies are treated unfairly by many regulars, with 'stupid newbie' being an insult i've seen more than once.

Even if the person is being stupid, calling someone a stupid newbie looks great towards the other newbies. like calling vanessa feltz an annoying cow is offensive to all cows.

Put it this way, if I was new here, I wouldn't make myself seem like a fool by typing half the rubbish what these people do.

When i was new i posted nothing fanboyish, or spammish. I also used proper vocabulary, unlike some people. *Looks at Callum*

When i first joined, many moons ago, i didnt write the sort of junk im seeing. Its not normal behaviour. So criticism must be dished.

Being a newbie is a STATE OF BEING, not just a tag. I wore the tag newbie for a fortnight or so before I accumulated 300 posts, but at no point was I ever actually a newbie. If people joining these forums can't contribute anything other than witless drooling, then they will get deservedly panned for it. In all my time on the internet, I've never seen anything resembling the proportion of slobbering morons as I have on these boards. Honestly, I could write better as a 5 year old, there must some retard asylum somewhere that only has internet access to ukchatforums.com.


And Top Score well predates me, I've only been here two months!

There is a simple way to help newbies leaarn the ropes and understand how everything works.

When I first came to the forums I was reading everything for weeks, nay, months before I actually registered, this means I knew wht was deemed acceptable, funny or interesting by the other members, so I suggest newbies read, if only for a few days, through the site to gain a greater understanding. However there is no excuse for more experienced members to act like this.
