"Are nuclear arms good or bad?"

This is a debate on whether nuclear arms are good or bad.

I am for, not because of their power and the demolition they cause but because they can be used to threaten rebel countries like Iraqu so they do not start wars or problems.
What do u think?

I would say they are useful for deterrence, and perhaps if the earth was threatened by some other world being.

If our good friend mr asteroid was heading to earth then they would be useful.

nuclear weapons are only good because they stop people having big wars.

America has nukes

russia has nukes

neither wants to start a war.

The problem comes when people like george bush build missile defence sheilds because then the balence is upset.

it would have been a good thing if they were never discovered in the first place, i am against they should never be used they will definetly alway kill the innocent.
