There could be a game based on the liberation of Afganistan and chucking the Taliban off of power. This could be a FPS and levels could range from The Northen Alience fighting on the front line to stealth missions in the complex that is in the mountains (i forgot what it is called). Would this be good claiming revenge or just insulting. There have been games made about WW1, WW2, Vietnam, the cold war and stuff so why shouldn't there be a game based on this?

Haven't seen anyone address this point yet, both games would be based around military campaigns, just one more recent than the other? Implying that beyond a certain point, we can forget the events of the past?
No it wont happen for a year or two yet... (and then it'll sneak in with game bad guys look-a-likes and name-a-likes)
Actually... Isnt there a game about being an Afgan terrorist where you run around London shooting people and setting off bombs in one of those game development programs you can buy for the PC?

Most likely. But it's a nice smell.
And it shouldn't be too offending to people, as the actual gameplay will be based in Afghanistan, rather than New York. Although, I expect there'll be some mention of it.
Way too early at the moment, but I can see it happening.

they mad a film about pearl harbor like 50 years after it happened!
Mabey
I think this topic is sick.
And so are the people who think its a good idea.
