Anyone know much about it?
I need a new graphics card (currently a tnt2 ;( ) and was thinking of the Kyro3, but does anyone know much about it? Any good websites with updated info on them?

What are the chances of KyroIII getting released at Cebit?
When are Nvidia releasing anything from the Geforce 4 series, if you know? Cheers

I think that if the Kyro III does achieve "Free" FSAA (performing it without causing any significant impact on the performance of the game), then it will be this mystery card, as it would signify a fairly large step forward, and require some new technology to pull it off. Interesting article over at Firing Squad, http://firingsquad.gamers.com/hardware/multisamp/default.asp

Ok, I've got loads more questions.

1. I have 256mb PC133 SDRAM. In the BIOS I have its speed set at Host Clock speed (FSB100), there is the option to set it as Host Clock + PCI Clock, which would be 133, which is the correct speed for this RAM, isn't it?. Whenever I set it to this, it crashes at exactly the same place in 3DM2K1. I am confused because I used to set it to this with no problems. Is there another setting in the BIOS affecting this?

2. I am having an absolute hell of a time getting AGP4x to work with my mobo, an Abit KT7A, which uses the VIA KT133 chipset, I have tried different AGP driving values (EA, DA and E7) but none of these work, and there is always a crash somewhere in 3DM2K1. I know the performance increase isn't great, but i've got it so I might aswell use it. Can you help me?

Cheers

Almost certainly, to be able to class itself as abudget card. the GF4s look to be horribly expensive, the Kyro3 seemslike an ever more appealing proposition.

So it will be between £150 and £200?

Definately, the specs that were leaked suggest that this should be able to compete with or possibly surpass even the Ti500 - if you can hold out until April, I'd advise you do so.

Does anyone think it is a wise move to hold out untill the release of this card, instead of buying a GF3 Ti200 in the next week or so.

Aha, we're getting some more hardware people then...glad to see more people from OcUK. They know a hell of a lot more than I do, trust them over me, heh.
