Not a bad idea which is why Insiders are saying just that, BBC Cefax will confirm the reports that Nintendo plan to release the console prior to the X-box launch! Could it be true?????
Nintendo said the Gamecube date will be announced at Cains on the 5th of February but then they added the game will appear a few weeks later....

I have saved up £350 for an xbox with Halo and there is not the slighest chance that I would change my mind and go for a GC. The launch games for xbox are the best.
Most people don't know what the GameCube is not because it's not been advertised, because plenty of websites and magazines have features news and stuff about it. They don't know about it either cos they're not interested in videogames, or they've been sucked in too much by another console and don't know any better.

Thats the thing. People don't know what they want, most people will follow the magority and buy whatever their mates have. They don't care if its cack. But because we want sales (Ninty do anyway) they releasing the console before black box would be great.
I dont really care because I was going to wait until GC came out anyway, and no need to buy early, Im getting mine from Australia :oP
