Ok ok well erm lets see, where shall i start, basically i need to know a few things as i am intrieged about this game so much and with the release soon i need to know more as a lot has been kept from us i feel.

- Is there a mode that you can play not on the net?
- Is this on your own or have u got 2 other members controlled by the computer?
- How much is a modem?
- Where can i get one, on SR?
- i heard it is £5 a month, is that true?
- Erm, how do you use the GC modem thingy (may be stupid but i dont know :p)

thanks a lot to anyone who helps me with this

lol! Fuzzy, how could you! The players around you are controlled by other people over the net! On Single player there will be SOME Missions that there will be a computer around you. But Otherwise hell no. Phantasy Star Online is about Co-op teamwork and no Computer controlled. :D

Yes, there is.

I believe it's alone or with COM players. Probably.

A good estimate is £30-40 for the online kit.

They'll be up for preorder when more details are announced.

No pricing details have been released.

It will connect onto the back of one of the ports on GC. You cannot browse the net by the way. Connect the lead from the GC modem to either a a) phoneline if you're using the modem (56k) or b) to your cable modem (if you have broadband). You're cable modem probably has 2 slots for BB connectors (one for your PC, one for console gaming, both are exactly the same).
