Christmas is usually the most expensive time of year. You know the score – all that present buying and not being selfish for a change. Well, as a PS2 owner, this year was a tough one what with all of those damned top releases coming out.
Pro Evo, Tony Hawk’s 3, Silent Hill 2 and that’s just for starters.

Now I’m facing the new dilemma. Xbox and Gamecube are just around the corner and both of them have a few games that are really looking great. Then on the other hand the PS2 has also got several titles coming out over the next months that will be incredible – I’m sure you know the ones I’m talking about. MGS2 anyone?

The problem of course is cashflow. Even as someone who’s on a reasonable wage, there is no way that I’ll be able to get an Xbox AND a Gamecube. In fact, I’ll be very lucky if I end up with either. Then of course I don’t want to make my PS2 redundant either.

Surely I can’t be the only one out there who is so desperate to play games that he/she constantly wrestles with the ‘do I get Wonderconsole ‘X’ or not’ question?
Perhaps I should take the plunge, kiss goodbye to the PS2 and choose one of the new boys. But you can then guarantee that 5 seconds after selling/trading my PS2 that the ultimate game (GTA4 or similar) will appear to make my new Xbox/Gamecube look pathetic.

Oh the pain and dilemma – someone give me the perfect solution to my constant gaming craving!

Invent a new game which you could make for pennies and sell for a shedload, market it and make a mint - like pokemin cards.
