4 Nonblones?

"What's going on?"
I liked that song, she had a massive voice.
Fiercely gay bassplayer woman, but a good song anyway.

I saw the drummer from Dodgy the other day, he seemed nice. Y'know, the portly one.

Oh yeah and I imagine Gomez are too stoned to make another record. Even going to the 24 hour garage for monster munch and peperami has become an effort.

Actually they've just finished their next record, but we can dream eh?

Dodgy sucked - they had the most bland voiced singer I'd ever heard. I wake up every morning thanking the lord that the singer 'Nigel' left. They tried to continue but lack of celebrety girlfriends and songs showed them for the fools they really were.

Shed 7 were too indie scmindie for their own good and when people got bored of britpop they fell by the wayside, only to come back with the music for The Link mobile phone shop. I saw Rik Witter in a service station once.. probably working there.

Cardigans - I imagine their recording another record but their phony 'ironic' take on rock made me puke.

Mansun - Their heads went up their ar$es I believe. Shame cos they had more talent than all the bands above put together. I think their prog-concept album was just lost on people. I saw them live once and they were very loud.

Even a tour with Robbie Williams couldn't resurrect his career after that fumbling mistake!

The Longpigs were pretty funky.

Presidents of the USA rocked! There songs were funny, that's why I liked them. Maybe that's why they never really got "mainstream"?

Kula Shaker were ok. I did own their first album at one point, but sold it.

Mansun are another band that spring to mind. I got their first outing, Attack of the Grey Lantern, but haven't heard much of the stuff off the other albums.

What about Dodgy, or Shed Seven, or the Cardigans (who did a track with Tom Jones a while ago, but apart from that...).

Gomez as well, they seem to have disappeared, along with Richard Ashcroft...

I actually quite liked their first album (Kula Shaker)

Jay Darlington was fantastic on the old hammond organ.

Shame Crispian Mills disappeared up his own bottom for the second one though.

I remember him being accused of being a Neo-Nazi, because of comments about the symbolism of the Swastika.

I think the got a bit too close to U2 sonically and everyone preferred Bono & pals so forgot about them.
