Right, tot up your score, and divide it by 10. Look at the table below:
SCORE:
AVERAGE:
1-1.5: Novice computer user who just spends an hour a night on it chatting to his mates on MSN and playing Wolfenstein.
1.5-2.5: Advanced user who spends a lot of time doing stuff that's a bit geeky. You have bveen using computers for about 3-5 years
2.5-3: You have reached the Zen stage of computing and have advanced to a higher plane of reasoning and understanding. You also have a script that tells you how much porn you have.
3+: You have the intelligence of a pre-pubescent rabbit and need to learn how to do basic maths.
> I have to use one. They don't look all that bad (apart from the new ones which look like lamps) but they crash all the time and theres not all that many apps for them.

Which windows? Win2k is great, it never crashes and runs like a dream. Windows 98 wasn;t bad for what it did but does need a re-install every 6 months. Windows ME and XP I don;t like becase ME crashes a lot and XP is big daddy.

Hang on, what am I doing in this forum?
> I know I know I know, but on balance PCs have much more functionality than a Mac.
Where?
>Also, MacOSX is very nice looking but I think Debian is much more powerful.
True, but not as wide spread in the domestic market
> But still, you just can't beat macromedia...
Originally designed for the Mac!!
> d) It makes them Macs. Macs are totally different to PCs, and a Mac isn't really an alternative to Windows, because they're different.
PC= Personal Computer
MacG4 = IBM PowerPC 750 processor...
Common factor here... PC?
There's very little difference between a Mac and your standard PC, Macs use one less mouse button... but the OS compared to windows is far superior and much more stable.
OS7 was a little dodgy and OS8 had some problems, OS9 started to get it together, but as for OSX, this puts windows to shame.
Power wise, nothing come close to the G4 velocity engine, true multi tasking and processing something a PC still cannot do!!
The only down side is the price, but you do get one hell of a machine for it and one that won't need updating for years... (I know of some design houses still using MacClassics!!)
Most people fear Macs due to the OS especially if their used to Win and Visual basic, but with Pearl and java, a Mac is a flexible as you could desier...
For Web... Did you know a G4 comes out of the box PHP, Pearl, CMFL and Java Ready and will work immediately as a server without having to do anything to it!!
I could go on all day preaching about Macs, but to really understand the differences, you need to use them at the same time and I can guarantee you'll end up going for a Mac every time!!...
Back off to play with my G4...
d) It makes them Macs. Macs are totally different to PCs, and a Mac isn't really an alternative to Windows, because they're different.
> Because:
a) You're the only person in Britain that uses them :)
Actually - Over 90% of creatives use them in the UK in the design and music sector, they out sell PC's in the US and are the standard machine in Australia...
d) Macs aren't computers in the context of this questionnaire.
What does't it make them then?
a) You're the only person in Britain that uses them :)
b) It's a 3-question system
c) It's hard to draw parallels because they're so *ahem*
d) Macs aren't computers in the context of this questionnaire.
Sorry!
> By the way, I forgot to mention that Tyla doesn't count :)
Please explain why not Rob?... BTW.... MacOSX!!
