The gaming industry is pretty much unanimous in the decision to hate Microsoft, something which I find quite absurd. I know that the GameCube and PlayStation 2 are both good machines, but the Xbox is far more advanced. Project Gotham whups Gran Turismo, Halo is the definitive shooter of the future, and with ridiculously high specs to tinker around with, almost every game coming out for the Xbox is above average. The PS2's software library consists of 99% rubbish titles. There are very few good games, most of which are on Xbox anyway.
What I want people to understand, is that they shouldn't be held back by their prejudice when it comes to gaming. The Xbox is the only console that deserves to be the best, and is so much more advanced than the others, should easily go down well with gamers. I want to see an end to this Microsoft hatred; all you people out there, you have brains, so use them. Anyone who has got at least half a brain will see that Xbox is the way to the future. It won't fail like the cynics say; it is far too good for this. It is just downright angering to see so much prejudice around, especially concerning such a great machine.
Oh, and Xbox sold 1.5 million units before xmas, with an average of 2.4 games sold per console.
GC sold 1.3 million units, with a games ratio of 1.9 per console.
So, in fact, both console hit their sales targets EXACTLY and both have a strong future.

One word: Jealousy
"...but the whiny Microsoft-hating adolescents aren't going to accept it. They want a world where Nintendo design operating systems that only boot up if your on first name terms with Shigeru."

Did I say that it was a large difference? Any difference is significant, be it 10,000 or 100,000. I was not attempting to 's**g off' the PS2 in any way, shape or form but I stick with my opinion that X Box will rule over all. It has the 3rd party support (much like Nintendo), is backed by the biggest super-power in the gaming or computing world and has some awesome features. If anyone disagrees please reply as we could get a rather decent debate going here.
Apart from the classics, most of the games being played are much less than two year old. Shops don't even stock PC's that were sold two years ago. So why games consoles?
You'll know the PS2 is special once you've played World Rally Championship or Baldur's Gate Dark Alliace or Gran Turismo 3 or Devil May Cry or Onimusha Warlords or Pro Evolution Soccer or Dropship or SSX or Grand Theft Auto 3 or Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, or X or Metal Gear Solid 1/2 or Wipeout or, hmmmm, should I go on??

As a result the console has the
> stongest launch I have ever seen
There are 4 launch titles I want and they are Halo, Dead Or Alive 3, Project Gothem and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Another title that I may get which is Wreckless. Also Jet Set Radio Future is out in America soon and a launch title in Japan, maybe it could be a launch title over here.
So 4 launch titles for me or maybe 5. Compare this to only 3 launch titles I had with my PS2.
I just hope that MS get some good games released a month or so after the launch, just like Sega did with the DC. As for me the PS2 lacked games up until the end of March. A whole 4 months it took to get a new game for my PS2.
I think MS has a amazing launch line up, but they must release a few good titles in the following month to keep people interested.
