Oh right.. yeah.
Twenty-five minutes. If the path is wide enough to accommodate 8 of the 10 snails then the first snail will be leaving the path as the tenth snail is starting onto the path. Using that information you can simply divide the full 50 minutes by 2.
But that never seemed right to me.
