Okay my votes are:
Raging Bull
Raging Bull
Raging Bull
Raging Bull
Raging Bull
That puts it in equal first position with the Matrix
:-)
Just so you know Gaz, I have watched Heat twice recently and I just was not as impressed with it as I used to be. I still loved it but not as much as Gladiator or as Lord of the rings.

Thank you, at last you see the light. It's good, not great. Go see A.I again (but don't pay for it, it's not worth a penny) and you'll see how they've cunningly replaced Haley Joel Osment with a crudely made rocking horse. The joke being it's wooden...oh, forget it.

For Mr Happy - Great Escape? That wasn't made recently. But I do get your point. If you like Raging Bull, go read Raging Plumber, by me, in Prime :-D

Thats technically piracy you know

Then vote for it!
Grosse Pointe Blank
Halloween
Goodfellas
Casino
Animal House
and many more
You are neglecting a number of monumentally significant films thus far. For instance there is not one single vote for a Scorcese film, or a Kubrick film (unless someone voted for AI grrrrr...) Already you've missed out two ultra significant directors. I know I have more obscure tastes than some and I won't lose any sleep if the Three Colours Trilogy (number 70 in channel 4's poll) doesn't make the top 100, but I'd think that it was a bit of a travesty if you had nothing from Scorcese. Raging Bull is a magnificent film. I vote for Raging Bull 5 times, hopefully that will push it up the poll and lend your top 100 some credibility. You know, you could just rename it the top 100 films from the last 10 years (including star wars) because at least then when the Matrix makes number 2 I'll have nothing to beatch about...
Give people the vote and look what happens!
Fight Club
American History X
Private Ryan
Shawshank
Dogma
Shrek (Best kiddie film ever)
Matrix
And we would have got more, if only the teacher hadn't started rambeling about 19th centuary peasents.
1) Gladiator
2) Lord of the Rings
3) Heat
4) Ronin
5) Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (might just have been really impressed by this because I saw Tomb Raider the night before which was awful :-D Could have made it seem far better than it was......but I don't think that's it.)
Just so you know Gaz, I have watched Heat twice recently and I just was not as impressed with it as I used to be. I still loved it but not as much as Gladiator or as Lord of the rings.
And I watched Ronin last night again. DAMN ROBERT DE NIRO TO HELL!!! HE GOT RID OF GOD!
"Draw it again. Come on it's a simple diagram. Draw it again. You're the ace field man, draw it again. DRAW IT AGAIN!"
"I don't like your attitude"
"Shooters here and here, shoot across, shoot each other dead! My my, where d'ya learn that?"
"The 22nd Regiment"
"What colour is the boathouse as Hereford? What colour is the boathouse at Hereford? What colour is the boathouse-"
"OH F*** OFF!"
"You've got the gun, I'm unarmed do something."
*spills coffee, De Niro grabs him*
"You're talking to me about an ambush!? I ambushed you on a cup of coffee!"
