Just a suggestion..
You're going to have one big problem:
You will get a top 30, where there's no ties of anything. Then you'll get a whole load of movies on one, two, three, four votes, all tied. This might hamper the top 100 a little.
This is how I think you could get round it.
Use the votes made to compile a default list of 100 films to choose from. Don't say whose in the lead or anything, just make sure you have roughly the 100 most popular films, and then let people choose their top five, or top 10, in order, from your list of 100.
Then assign points to each position, ie 1st=5 pts, 2nd=4pts, etc. That way you'll get a nice top 100 with very few tied positions.
