i cant wait till I'm a reguler. then i can be one of the ones who always posts retarded replys to those newbees and always moans at them. i'll be clearly superior to all newbies, so i'll have the right to do that. i'll be able to decide what counts as spam and what doesnt. my dire speeling woant be moaned at any more, at least if i moan at the newbe spammers all teh time anyway. if i start a wierd tpoic then itll be humerous and not spam!
it's almost like ill be magically trnasformed as soon as i become a regular, like the rest of u!
i cnat wait!!!!!11111112222222
Firstly, not ALL n00bs post rubbish, just some. Yes, those quadrouple figures do attract some silly people to spamming up the forums with utter crap.

So, you're main goal as a Regular is to shout at innocent (or not so) Newbies because they make mistakes or even if they don't? You are incredibly sad. You are clearly "superior" to the Newbies? Pah! Notables are no better than Newbies in my eyes. Yes - it means they have put in that little bit more effort, but it dare means they are smatter or wiser than any newbie. I will agree to disagree that if a newbie posts a "wierd" topic, people label it with spam, but if a Notable does the same, it's suddenly gold dust. No offence intended, but Ant posted a seemingly pointless topic the other day and nobody took notice that it was spam, except moi, of course.

Please do not become a Regular! It will be the worst pain I ever have to suffer!
"Yep i know...was just saying how they helped me understand what not too do on here , and why people get annoyed at newbies etc (like me). I did speak in txt speak a bit when i first arrived but have learnt not too since then."
Considering the intelligence of people in our area of London/Essex, I think that you have matured quite quickly and I'm proud of you for winning that GAD! Well done mate!
And One Eyed Snake - don't quit your day job!

Well said...
(...even with all the punctuation, spelling and grammer mistakes and the lack of paragraphing....)
But anyway arent you still a newbie...why are u writing about this ?

I agree that Pocket Rocket, after being advised, carried on admittently ignoring advice. But that's an isolated case.
It's when all Newbies are classed as spammers that gets on my nerves.
As does classing all Notables as those who are the best posters on the forums (ha!)
And classing regulars as the experienced ones on here. Some are only regulars cos they spammed to much and have been here for more than the time it takes to become a regular.

I admit, I do pick on newbies. But if they are first time offenders, I always tell them what not to do. However, in cases like Pocket Rocket, who is a repeat offender, with about 20 spam topics across the forums, he needs to be put in his place.
Not everyone knows exactly how we engage in discussions on here, and I still think calling UKdiscussions, UKchatforums was a bad idea as it sounds like the kind of place you'd expect to read shrt and pointless messages.

I reckon that most regulars (and wannabies) think that they've got the right to put down newbies because they've been here longer. Not everyone has the chance to read every topic and to get used to the way messages are on here. Infact, the way FOG Prime is set out (so that newbies can't post messages in there) it's no wonder that it takes them longer to aqquire the style. I know that if I'd been a newbie when FOG Prime was set so that no newbies could post then I wouldn't even bother going to that forum!
I, and many others here, were lucky to be members of these forums from the near beginning, when the board was new, and it was probably us newbies at the time who have made the boards what they are today. I can't see us all being on these boards forever, so we've got to give newbies a chance to develop their typing skills so that they can carry on keeping this one of the best sites on the internet. Instead of treating members by class, treat each one as an equal. I've seen certain notables posting worse rubbish than the newest JAT's, but they hardly post on here any more anyway.
Just remember, you were new once.
