Yes, it`s been done before.
No, it won`t be as lond as the FOG version.

Why am I trying it out anyway?

The XBOX forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest XBOX game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

oh it doesn't matter if you alert the guards...just mow them down
and it's even easier once you get the sniper...just position him so that he can take them all down

EASY? Woa! I struggle to complete the first task let alone the whole mission :s

The demo of CDS has a slight loss of framerate, but the bloke on the OXM forums (steven bailey - the one that wrote the review) said that ths has been fix and the game looks alot better as its finished version.

Enclave was ok i guess, but i hated the inverted thumbstick.

Street Hoops is kinda fun i guess. The videos i liked were the Splinter Cell Preview *Drool*, The Halo Matches, XIII - not sure but i liked it and the interview with the oddworld guy.

I might subscribe to the mag, its quite good and i am looking forward to the Crazy Taxi 3 Demo Next Month!

From the demo, Conflict Desert Storm seems like a good game. I would probably buy it if there wasn't sooo many great games in the pipeline this Autumn/Winter - gotta save. I might buy it in the future.

Street Hoops isn't really my thing. I had a quick go on it and it seemed quite good, but American sports games don't really appeal to me.

I enjoyed the full version of Enclave, though I must say that I'm not sure I could play it through again. Like Gun Valkyrie, I will probably part-ex it for a better game in the future. I only tend to keep games which I consider to be classics, or at least very very good.

So far my certain XBOX keepers are: Halo, PGR, JSRF, Max Payne, Oddworld, and (would you believe it) Wreckless.
By the New Year I expect these 6 games to have doubled, if not trebled.

The highlights for me were the Splinter Cell article and Video along with the Conflict Desert Storm demo. Splinter Cell Is looking fantastic and at the frame-rate problem has been addressed and the last test IGN played said the game was now running fine! I don't know about you but I was impressed with Conflict Desert Storm, I found that the graphics were great, the frame-rate was brilliant and the gameplay was reminiscent of the recent Hidden And Dangerous which I did enjoy at one point but then found it got too hard. What did you think of Street Hoops? I think that there is going to be a game that will leap out of that and I kept thinking that whilst I played, but there is something missing which I can't quite put my finger on, maybe a rental but I will wait to see what reviews say first. I don't like Enclave and although you seemed to enjoy it I just found it boring and very repetitive, maybe the full version is better (especially if the reversed controls can be changed) but I don't think I will be playing this one again! Any thoughts on Conflict Desert Storm?

The Xbox isn't the only console on a drought either, last month only 2 games were realeased for the GameCube in the US and one of them was a Multi-platform American football game. As for what games are released this friday I am unsure, check SR's release calendar as they have the actual releases from the games companies so I am sure theirs will be spot on every time!

Nomad, have you got this months OXM?
