Why am I trying it out anyway?

The XBOX forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest XBOX game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

There's no way I'd go out and buy the game, even if it got 10/10, but a playable demo could well persuade me...

You actually got an Xbox then, or just thinking of getting one if the right games come along?

You can do that on Shenmue - pop down to the arcade and play on Yu Suzuki's classics - Outrun etc. Or darts.

Think I might write a post about Shenmue - people must know!

I guess. I just don't have the time to sit down and get involved in a really deep story.

I prefer games that I can have a go on for half an hour at a time before I go out or whatever. Having said that, I'm probably going to get Morrowind this weekend, so there you go...

Why do you think that? Shenmue is all about getting caught up in the story, being Ryo as he tries to avenge his father - like I said, its something of an acquired taste, but I'd hate for it to get poor sales on Xbox and the whole series be discontinued.

I haven't played it, to be fair. But it just sounds so damn boring! :-)

To be honest, about 70% of my decision to get an Xbox is based on future Shenmue games appearing on the console.

No like Shenmue? :S It didn't get much exposure on the Dreamcast, but has developed into something of a cult classic? Have you played it?

Just had a quick check, C&VG have a release date of 31st December 02 for Shenmue 2.

Shenmue 2 has been released in the US, but then they didn't get it on the DC.

It has been confirmed for EU, but not definate release date as yet. Not sure if there'll be a little recap for those that didn't play the first one, I would have thought so.

Not really my type of game, so haven't been reading up on it I'm afraid...
