Why am I trying it out anyway?

The XBOX forum is a very interesting place to be, but it can also be a little quiet. I though perhaps if we had a topic with several hundred replies lurking at the top, things would look more popular.

Feel free to use the topic to talk about anything. Either the latest XBOX game, latest ideas for including some female star in a game etc... or even just the usual chat that happens all over.

As I expect this to fail, I`ve decided to spend a little while pushing up the replies. No spamming, just lots of nonsense :-)

Any help would be great, it`d be boring to have a whole topic with replies from only me.

bit a of a short long thread, anyway, quiet you say? its seems quieter than a derlict lansite where not even the rats will venture, aka the innards of the ps2 box

I had always thought xbox was going to do very well, but after reading thread on these forums it seem spublic opinion, all be it ill informed is with the ps2
(guess they like flawed hardware) and most second console owners look like they will go for gamecube, price needs to be dropped asap, match the ps2 and it has a certified win otherwise it may struggle :-(

The X-Box may be good, but so was the N64, and the PS still outsold it

X-Box looks great and everything but it may go down the Dreamcast path - big developer, great early games etc. I doubt this though, and highly recommend you get one - just read reviews of Halo, Project Gotham Racing, Wreckless, Amped, DOA2 and Munch. If the games get even better gamers'll be on cloud 9.

At the moment i have a ps2, a playstation and a dreamcast.
The only problem about waiting for the gamecube is that i dont think that its games are any good. But ill probably end up having them both later in the future anyway.

If its expensive wait, with the gamecube coming out at such a lower price (half practically) the xbox is going to have to drop in price farily quick to keep sales up.

I have a American console, which is great, but it still will get sold and replaced with a uk model eventually, my advice would be to wait and see, do u have ps2 or anything else?

hey guys, i'm having a bit of a dilemma. As im only fifteen and cant be arsed to get a job my annual monthly income is not very much, I want to ask is the xbox really worth it, £300 is alot to me and i want to make sure i spend it well, if i dont get an xbox id spend the money on a minidisc, little handheld tv (to watch the world cup whilst im at school) and some new wieghts. Ive had 7 or 8 different consoles so im quite experienced with this sort of thing, but the xbox hasnt had as much publicity as the ps2 etc.

I saw Halo in action the other week it looks fabulouso!

Oh and some snowboarding game which looked very nice indeed.

I admit I havn't been following X-Box news as much as I should really. Still looks to be a top machine and worth getting.
