What is a phobia?

Why do they affect us so much?

Where do they come from?

Why do we have them?

A phobia is a deep fear of a person sublect or object. it can cause people to react in ways you've never seen them before! Some times it brings out a different part of you! Why does it do that?

some people blame their phobias on past experiences, some... who knows where they came from and why we have them!

There are some weird and wonderful phobias out there!

Ok mine is quite weird....

Buttons!!

I'll say it anyway but I know there's going to be a person that's going to say "You'll get over it you sissy" or something of the sort.

I have a phobia of driving.
Cars not anythig else.

I am not afraid of car crashes. Never. I sometimes push my brother and even scare him while HE is driving and say things like "Opps I'm covering your eyes. Hey watch out. Haha". Eh. I still don't know why I freeze up and choke and shiver when I get into the driver's seat and start driving. It's really wierd.

My mom once told me to pick her up in the corner which was like inches from our houses and I backed out of the driveway a half way and I couldn't do more. I was dieing of the phobia. I had to get my brother to move the car to my mum after that.

My friends say that I have to go to therapy to find out the cause of my fear but I dont want to know. I'll drive eventually. I know I will.

It's weird, I used to have phobias; mostly of big man-spiders, but that one's gone.

And all the others? Well, I've forgotten what they were; hence, they don't other me anymore.

I don't think I've got any bad phobias. Just a little scared of spiders.

I have a really bad phobia. When ever I come in contact with my phobia I shiver and I can barely breath. I just freeze. No screaming at all. My phobia is really rare though. I don't know anyone else that has it.:-(

there was a girl on that that had a fear of buttons and she had to sit on these people that had suits made out of buttons!

remember 'Don't try this at home' where davina macall would do her thing, and then Patrick Kielty would do a bit about phobias.

I remember one woman in the audience had a phobia of bananas, and they made her get in a box full of them. that was an odd but of telly right there.
