The Getaway is probably one of the most impressive and anticipated games for the Sony PlayStation2. The game is currently set for a Christmas release in Europe. Developed by Team Soho, The Getaway tells the story of two characters. The first, Mark Hammond, is a former criminal who yearns to live a normal life, but when his son is kidnapped and his wife is murdered, he blames mob boss Charlie Jolson. On the opposite side of the law is the second character, Frank Carter, a suspended cop who wants to see Jolson in prison as well. The stories of these two characters intertwine as the game progresses. Specific gameplay details are scarce at this time, but it is known that the game will take place in various locations around London.

apparantly that is what they have been sent out to do. go and take pictures of ever bit of london
obviously you would hope the mcdonalds building be there but i wonder if each and every building n the radius will be reconiseable by looks?

Apparantly yes. if you wanted to go to mcdonalds you could then ( if you had a detailed map of london) find your way their.
i wonder if each builidng has the destinctions of its real life counterpart, i mane could you pretend to be a touris and find one building to the other? :)?

The picturs of the out of car sections actually look better then GTA3s.
i bought the mag with it in on feb 2001 so it has probebrly improved laods now. i bought the mag before i got my PS2 and it made me decide to get a PS2 as soon as i could

how detailed are the outisde of the buildings and do you have streetnames etc

yeh it is 50 sq miles of a digitally mastered London town. you can go any where and according to GM you can go in 14 buildings which are as detailed as any first person shooter.
does any one knoe how much fredom you will ahve to roam lonndo e.g will it be like GTA3?
